Hello! I’m Millie, and I’m the newest member of the team at Sokada, I’m 21 years old and I have been working in marketing since 2023. My journey into marketing was an unexpected path, but I couldn’t be more grateful that it has eventually led me to my new role at Sokada.

A Bit About Me
I grew up and went to school in Liverpool, so I’m officially the office Northerner. I did my A Levels in Biology, Maths, and Psychology, and after spending a year in university studying Neuroscience, I packed my bags and moved locally to Heathfield.
My journey in marketing started through creating my own online shop in the lockdown period, where I made clothing from my bedroom, selling through social media, and eventually building a website to properly delve into the marketing side of the business. Marketing ended up being my favourite part of this, so that’s what I looked for in my first full-time role.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me with a blanket getting cosy to watch a film, or playing video games. I’m also planning to take pilates classes soon and sign up for a new netball team, as I grew up playing a lot of netball and have made a promise to myself to get active again! I was a competitive cheerleader from ages 9 to 18, so my exposure to team sports has definitely increased my ability to collaborate and work together with colleagues.
Previous Jobs
In 2023, I landed my first full-time role as a Marketing Communications Executive within an international manufacturing business, managing everything digital marketing for one brand within the group. After almost a year in this role, I was promoted to Digital Marketing Coordinator to specialise on social media for all brands and regions within the group. This was an extremely exciting opportunity, but came with challenges as I had to learn to juggle various brands as a team of one. My confidence in my ability developed so much over this period, and I’m incredibly excited to take these skills even further in my new role!
Working at Sokada
I have been in contact with Jude and Julian for a good while, so when I was invited in for a chat to discuss an upcoming new role I was thrilled! After almost two years of marketing experience, I was excited to demonstrate my knowledge, and talk about the experience I had gained since we had last talked.
It would be difficult to choose just one aspect of my new role that I am excited for, as I will be leveraging my previous experience in to new industries as I work with different clients, but I also look forward to learning new skills that come with part of working in an agency.
